Tony and his cat Chicken Little were inseparable and living life to the fullest; however, things didn’t go well for the two friends. Tony had a stroke, and they rushed him to the ICU, where no one knew what would happen next.
Chicken Little had no idea what his owner was experiencing, and after Tony was released, he wouldn’t be able to take care of his beloved cat the same way as before.
His neighbors knew Tony’s situation; he would not be able to look after his cat as he used to be. So, they began finding a new home for Chicken Little.
One of Tony’s neighbors had been posting on Facebook pages to find a good family for Little Chicken when Amanda Hassan, who was on a foster waiting list, saw a post on a local pet’s Facebook page.
Amanda instantly fell in love with the cute kitty and knew she must adopt her before someone else did. So, she quickly made all the arrangements to adopt Little Chicken.
When they got home, they became best friends and noticed that she got herself a talkative cat.
Meanwhile, Tony was released from the ICU and moved to a nursing home where he would live the rest of his life and receive the necessary care and attention.
For Chicken Little, he was happy in his new foster home, but Amanda felt pitiful for her cat and his old owner, Tony. She knew the two must have missed each other, so she planned a surprise visit with the help of Tony’s neighbors, and the two old buddies could finally meet.
The nursing home administration is strict and does not allow animals. However, the staff there were ready to make an exception for Chicken Little to reunite with Tony.
“The nursing and care staff just pretend they don’t see her,” Amanda told the Dodo.
Amanda and the neighbors were amazed by the special treatment they received from the staff and how they broke the rules for the two friends.
When they let Chicken Little out, she was confused and shy and needed time to adapt to the new place. But once she saw Tony, she started purring and went for leg rubs and snuggles.
“He seemed to brighten right up when she did that,” Hassan added.
Tony used to call his cat Little Angel, but when he found out her new name was Chicken Little, he did not mind. He was jubilant that he could be with his cat again.
Chicken Little and Tony indulged in cuddles and had plenty of time to reminisce about their days together. Amanda saw that her cat and Tony had a special bond, and she decided she would always visit the nursing home occasionally.
